I've gone shooting back up to 9,100th place in the overall table so I'm pretty happy with that. As I still don't have enough spare cash to bring in a striker who's still in the competition, I'm using my free transfer to bring in Javier Mascherano (Liverpool FC) for Mehmet Aurélio (Fenerbahçe SK).

Selection headaches
I was very tempted to bring in Petr Čech for Víctor Valdés as I'm sure Manchester United FC will attack FC Barcelona at Old Trafford, whereas the Chelsea FC-Liverpool FC game could be cagey as Chelsea already hold the advantage. But Valdés has been scoring so well for me that, in the end, I couldn't change a winning team.

Keeping it steady at the back
There's no change in my backline as I'm concerned about Nemanja Vidić's (United) fitness. Besides which they've mostly done pretty well for me, with Patrice Evra (United) and Eric Abidal (Barcelona) featuring in the Dream Team for MD11.

No change in the middle
I've brought in Mascherano more as a potential option for the final. I wouldn't sacrifice any of my star midfield men for him!

Sticking with the front two
As I'm still carrying an eliminated striker on the bench in Robinho (Real Madrid CF), it'll be Didier Drogba (Chelsea) and Lionel Messi (Barcelona) up front again. Messi was rested for Barcelona's game at the weekend, so hopefully he'll be raring to go.
